No Greater Love food pantry is having a benefit yard sale on June 6th. A resident of Cedar Street has graciously allowed us to set up on their property. We will be at 150 Cedar/ the corner of Cedar and Durham. The home owner will be on the cedar street side and the pantry will be on the Durham street side. Pay what you think it’s worth (other than clothes which will be $5 a bag) sizes and goodies for everyone. Household goods, books, clothing and whatever else we can find. I hear there has been a massive house clean out. We will have hot dogs on the grill cooking! Donations accepted by calling Tanya at 207-299-2093 or Mary at 207-323-0761. We would like to split the proceeds with the fire victims from Robbins Lumber Mill Fire. 8-2. 6/6/2026

3/22- we WILL be open for food pantry tomorrow. Depending on weather we may MAY open earlier and close earlier, it just depends on the weather and if we can get set up timely.

The following has been weighing very heavy on my mind lately. There has been behavior at our pantry that we just can no longer tolerate. If you are visibly under the influence of any substance and it’s blatantly obvious with your behavior, you will be asked to exit the building and a box of food will be made for you. NGLFP is a safe place for all. I just can no longer allow the behaviors we are seeing to continue. Along with this, if you are told we have to limit items please do not act like you can not count to 3. We have to remember that your neighbors would like a loaf of bread or a sweet treat as well. I really dislike having to monitor what people are taking but when individuals think they are outsmarting us, we see you! I will no longer issue reminders as you shop. You will simply be asked to leave. This probably sounds harsh but it has unfortunately come to this. We are here to help provide to all who walk through our doors and when we have just enough for everyone but individuals think they deserve their share and others shares, we have a problem. I do expect after March our food supply will increase and our limits on certain items should hopefully go back to normal but until then please adhere to our stated limits. Good evening friends of No Greater Love Food Pantry. I wanted to assure you all that we will be open on 1/25/2026. Yes, it will be very very cold but we will be here ready to feed our friends and neighbors. Please stay in your car until we open at 10:30. We will hand out numbers in the order you park from the first entrance back towards Waldo Ave. No need to form a line outside. As always, we will have more than enough to go around. Please be safe and stay warm while you wait.

No Greater Love Food Pantry is forever grateful to the men and women of Randall Collins Vfw 3108, Belfast Police Department, and Waldo County Sheriffs department for braving the cold wind today at Hannaford‘s. They successfully delivered 2400+ pounds of food to us.  Once delivered eight men and one very wonderful staff lady from the Waldo County Regional Reentry Center unloaded and helped organize it. Thank you to all the folks that donated. We truly live in a very generous community. Your donations of food will go a long way towards fighting hunger in the Waldo County area.
