Weanling fillies, Nix and Wren on their first trail ride and bridge crossing.

Nix was watching my mom and dad on their horses get turned around on the trail. She soon realized mama was leaving.

Rye is filling out into a big ol’ soggy mare.

She’s 6 years old this year and will also be in the saddle string. She is my babysitter and takes great care of my dad and sister, they often fight over who gets to ride her.

My hope is to get her started roping so we can drag some calves in the branding pen this year!
