Serenity Sheep Farm Stay

Serenity Sheep Farm Stay Sleep in one of our antique sheepherder's wagon and experience a day on the farm. Lots of fiber on the hoof and in many other forms. A spinning wheel awaits you.

Spin amongst the sheep, if you desire or just kick back and relax.

I know what it's like to find a spot that soothes your soul. One you can enjoy is solitude. One that brings you back to center in this crazy world we live in.

Samantha recently stayed here and this is her public feedback, which touches my heart and soothes my soul. Thank you, Samantha! After a wacky summer, this is balm.

Such a unique and magical stay! The historic sheepherder’s wagon was so cute and thoughtfully put together. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept so well. The outdoor shower was unexpectedly one of my favorite parts—so peaceful and meditative, and it worked perfectly. Hearing coyotes under the stars at night made the experience even more special. Staying on the farm added an earthy, grounding feel to everything. You have to stay here, very soul-soothing.

I always tell people that sheep wagons are the original tiny houses!

One of the 4000-year-old well-preserved wagons unearthed in the Lchashen village in the vicinity of Lake Sevan. Made of oak, they are the oldest known wagons in the world. Now on display at the History Museum of Armenia

I would like to take a minute to thank another local business, Go Fast Campers! I've only had the pleasure of meeting Alek who, by all accounts, is a marketing wiz there.
I have had several guests this summer who have stayed either before or after their installs. They're just up the road a piece and are the new owners of the old creamery building (Garden Cafe) in Manhattan, my home town.
To all the folks at Go Fast, thank you and best wishes on your continued success!

It is with great sadness that I post the passing of one of the farm's greatest personalities, Milton. I called him Lover Boy. He was. He didn't have a mean bone in his body and was all love. He loved to walk along side you and rub up against you, sharing his lovely billy goat essence! He was a gift. Yes, I've never been given such a gift in all of my life. He sired many baby goats here and went about the rest of his year doing as he pleased. Fences didn't hold him, much to the chagrin of the neighbors.
He is part of the "Boys Who Loved Me" club here, but then again, Milton loved everybody. I loved him. We all did. His absence will not go unnoticed and I am forever grateful to have had such a wonderful animal in my life for so long. One guest thought he was a Wildebeest, one thought he was a Yak. Many had no idea what he was. He was Milton and Milton was chill.
I've been a bit concerned about him lately as he had started to slow down. He was getting old and I knew the time was coming, though a little sooner than I anticipated.
If you have pictures to share, please do. He was OOAK.
I believe we could all benefit from being a little bit more like Milton.
Rest in peace Lover Boy.

My first collaboration with Billy Maxwell is this reproduction point blanket. Having met Billy during a fiber festival in 2020, we then began collaborating on this blanket. What resulted were months of experimentation in order to bring this 100% Montana made wool blanket to you. We are currently tak...
