Well, its officially time to start ramping up for spring. We will start doing some light feeding next week to start boosting brood production. Last spring was one of the worst seasons we have ever had. We were one of many beekeepers who produced little to no honey. However, we did have a good year selling nucs and starters. We will once again we offering nucs and starter hives for sale this year. $160/$300. Pm to reserve your spot as we always sell out each year!

Our woodshop is also finally running and we will be selling hiveware as well this year. I finally got my top bar jig dialed in and this is the first top bar officially produced!

Today we visted our friends at Mattingly Farms to walk them through their first inspection of their new hive. One of my favorite parts of being a beekeeper is helping and teaching people who want to keep bees! Lets be honest here, it can be very overwhelming when you first start out, but thats why we are here to help!

This year has definitely been one for the books. Unfortunately, due to how the weather has been and a very slow nectar flow so far this season; it is likely that we will not have much, if any, honey this year. We are hoping for a strong fall flow, but as of now we are not getting our hopes up.

Hope everyone is safe after the last 24 hours. It has been wild seeing all the storm damage. We were fortunate to not recieve any damage but unfortunately one of our close friends had a tree fall directly on her new hive! We tried to salvage what was left, and we didn't find a queen but we will continue to monitor them and hope for the best!

Yesterday we had our annual inspection from the State for our bees. These inspections are very important to us and our customers to make sure we sre preventing the spread of diseases. We are happy to say that everything went well and the bees are healthy!

The weather this spring has made the bee activities a little difficult! Luckily we have managed to fill all of our orders so far and have had a 100% succes with our Queens this year. We are still taking orders at this time. $150 for a nuc or $300 for a starter hive.

Unfortunately, in our line of work, we cant win them all. Losing a few hives over the winter is pretty normal, but frustrating nonetheless.

We are currently prepping woodware and getting ready tonplace material orders.

There are hopeful plans this year to upgrade the honeyroom so we can process our honey and wax faster.

Its that time of year again for us. We are beginning to prep for this years bee season. Shortly the spring will be here and we will start making splits to expand and to sell to others. If you want hives this year, its time to start thinking about it. Send us a message if you have any questions.
