My last market of the season is this Saturday at the Ohio Valley Farmers’ Market’s Winter Market and Craft Show! 10-2 in the Bellaire High School Cafeteria. I will have potatoes, sweet potatoes, winter squash and pumpkins along with tomatoes and limited amounts of some fresh veggies. (The weather wasn’t as kind this year, but some crops did survive under the row cover.)

It’s hard to believe but we have not had a frost/freeze yet here on the farm. I’ve been harvesting like crazy before this cold snap arrives. Reach out if you’re interested in the following: green beans, hot and sweet peppers, snap and snow peas, celery, celeriac, cabbage, tatsoi, tomatoes, or Swiss chard. I also have potatoes, sweet potatoes, and winter squash and pumpkins in storage.

I despise this hot, humid weather. But, if there’s one thing I love about the growing season, it’s the yummy food we get to enjoy. Fried green tomatoes and a burger made from our own grass-fed beef on So Simply Sourdough sandwich bread! Yum! Yum!!
