Our Story
Once the world’s largest livestock shipping point, Belle Fourche still serves as the agricultural center to the Tri-State area and the gateway to the Northern Black Hills. Our vibrant western cultural heritage is alive and well and can be best witnessed during Independence Day celebrations when the Black Hills Roundup Rodeo and Parade are in full swing--from cattle drives down our main street to fireworks and all the rodeo fun.
We have a rich history with famous old-west characters and many near-century-old historic buildings and homes still stand to this day and are being rejuvenated to serve the needs of the next generation.
People choose to live here for the small town amenities that afford a welcoming and safe place to raise a family. People choose to forge and do business here because of the loyal customer base and community-working-together atmosphere. Though we may be small, we are mighty in spirit and can-do attitude!
