Farm Store Happenings 8.28 & 8.29
Hello!
Look at this load of eggplant that Jenny and Shana brought in, wow! I hope you have been able to enjoy some eggplant this year, it has been a great year for it. With the weather feeling a little cooler it is a fun time for eggplant bolognese. You can grab some eggplant, celery, carrots, onion, garlic, tomatoes, basil and oregano from us to make this recipe!

I hope everyone got to enjoy some of the apples that we had, aren't they just SO flavorful this year? We will have them back in the store this weekend as well.
π± What to Expect in the farm store this week...
New:
Melons! We are just starting to harvest melons and so far they are huge. These will need to equal 2 of your items until they get smaller. We cut one open, and they are delicious! Apparently people like to eat cottage cheese with their melons. I have heard about it many times and am going to give it a try this year. Here is a recipe.

Celeriac - I decided that I am not waiting for soup weather to enjoy some soup this week:) I like to use this root vegetable in all soups and stews or anywhere I would use celery. Simply peel the rough outer edges and cube or dice.
