Kenna was 1st place Intermediate Kid and RGCH at Allen Co Fair over the weekend at her first show out this season!

Some does are good show does. Some are good brood does. PowderPuff is both. Bred to Rochester last year, I sold her quad bucks for a combined total of more than $4,500 and plan to use one of her sons in my own breeding program! She can more than pay for herself in one season.

She is being offered because I need to make room for younger does in the herd. I have way too many goats overall and my Alpine number continue to grow! Iā€™ll be offering even more Nubian and Alpine does in the next few days. My loss is your gain. Free delivery to the Nashville Fair on Sept 11-13. Sheā€™s already on the CVI. I have a CIDR in her now. She can potentially be exposed to a buck or LAIā€™ed (Sept šŸ˜Ž before we leave for Nashville. We can make that breeding decision together if I can receive half down on her ASAP.

She is dry now but has been shown extensively in the past and can still be shown in the future. The last two years, she has had quads for me via LAI. Full disclosure, about a month prior to kidding these 2 sets of quads, she had some swelling in her front feet that quickly went away after she kidded. I love this goat and have been sitting/stewing on this decision for a long time. I just canā€™t keep them all. šŸ˜¢

2026 Ohio State Fair Results: Part 1

We had an awesome senior doe show at our first time back to the OSF in many years and the first time the dairy goat show had been back during the state fair in ~30 years!

For Alpines, our fancy ROCHESTER daughter GCH HOANBU RR PASTA PRIMAVERA 7*M, 2yr old, was named OSF Grand Champion and Best Udder! Along with 1st pl 3 yr old HOANBU JT PASTA PESTO 7*M and our awesome Jr does, we were awarded the Premier Alpine Exhibitor banner! Prima and Pesto teamed up to win 1st pl Produce of Dam again (just like they did at Nationals!)

For Nubians, 5 yr old GCH HOANBU BMR KARMA KISMET 6*M EX91 was named Grand Champion Nubian and Best Udder. 4 yr old GCH HOANBU EPIC FAITHFUL FORTUNE 3*M EX91 was named Reserve Grand Champion while 3 yr old GCH HOANBU STATUS MOSCATO Dā€™ASTI 6*M was named Reserve Best Udder! We got the Premier Breeder banner for Nubians, 1st place Get of Sire for CH *B DKGH ERINā€™S LA EPIC EX90 (with GCH FORTUNE, GCH EVASIVE, and 1st fresh FUNFETTI) , 1st Dam & Daughter with GCH HOANBU BLF FEATHER FAITHFUL 2*M EX91 and daughter GCH HOANBU EPIC FAITHFUL FORTUNE 3*M EX91, 1st pl Produce of Dam with GCH HOANBU BLF FEATHER FAITHFUL 2*M EX91 and sister 2yr old HOANBU EPIC FEATHER FUNFETTI, as well as 1st pl Dairy Herd with KISMET, Dā€™ASTI, FORTUNE and EVASIVE, which earned us the Governorā€™s Award for the Nubian breed. šŸ˜… What a fun show!! šŸ˜ƒ
