Marble Road Farms is pleased to announce that our Senior Herd Bull 'Sir Richard of Gnomes End' has recently been Certified Tenet!
The Tenet testing identifies genetic markers to determine with 99% accuracy the tenderness of live cattle. Sir Richard scored the highest ranking for tenderness (Score 10 of 10). This genetic trait is moderately to highly inherited, and we are excited to perform further testing to determine the impact of his genetics in our herd.

The Tenet gene has been recognized as the major factor in beef eating satisfaction and only 2-5% of the U.S. cattle herd have gained Tenet Certification. At this time Sir Richard is the only Galloway bull recognized as Certified Tenet.

This bull calf was born mid-June (6 months old). His mother was a first calf-heifer- she raised him and is 3 months pregnant with her 2026 calf. Calf sired by MRF Sir Lucan Galloway.
