Butternut, acorn, and spaghetti squash along with pie pumpkins available at the stand now every day. We hope to have regular pumpkins out for sale in the next few days. We do not plan to open for u-pick pumpkins or offer mums this year. The beautiful mums are available at our friends Five Corners Greenhouse in Calcium. Thank you for your support.

The edible seeds can be sprouted, cooked, popped, or ground into flour. The straw can be made into brooms or tie untrimmed tassels into bundles to feed birds through winter. Ideal for kids, crafts and critters! And available here at North Branch Farms.

General information

We also operate a self serve vegetable stand on the corner of Route 3 and Route 178 in Henderson Harbor from July to October. Currently squash and pumpkins are available to purchase there every day, weather permitting. We supply several other retail locations and small grocery stores with fresh, locally produced vegetables throughout the season. Look for the North Branch Farms name where you buy your produce, or start buying it from us!

Knowing that rain was immanent, I begrudgingly dashed in the house for a quick bite of dinner. I grumbled that I was down a tractor driver and had to get the last sweet corn planted. Margo looked out the kitchen window at the tractor running in the driveway and said, “I’ll run the planter”. The 2,000 dozen she planted are destined for local schools in September. Wouldn’t the students be surprised to find out it was planted by a farmer in hot pink pajamas!

Today felt like a “Tractory” day. So Joseph planted the first acre of sweet corn. 24,000 ears for July 21st. Get your water boiling🌽

The NYFB State Board kicked off its summer tour of Jefferson County Monday evening by picking more than 400 dozen ears of corn to donate to the Food Bank of Central New York. A big thanks to the Canzonier family of North Branch Farms for hosting and donating the corn.

Things are looking a little spooky in the lobby of . The annual pumpkin contest is underway as our Career & Technical Education programs were tasked with designing the best pumpkin for Halloween. Students and staff voted today on their favorite with the results coming soon. Can you guess which pumpkin goes with which CTE program? Thank you to North Branch Farms for donating all the pumpkins for the contest.
