Welcoming Argente Bruns!

Welcoming Argente Bruns! Our Argente Brun rabbits were originally imported from Ontario, Canada. They follow the Dominion Rabbit Breeders standards, not that of the BRC.

The Argente Brun is a Chocolate and Silver furred rabbit with a soft coat. The Argente Lilac is a Lilac Silvered rabbit with the same soft dense coat.

Argente Brun Nationals to be held in conjunction with the Canton Ohio Hall of Fame on April 8th at the Stark County Fairgrounds.

There will also be an Argente Brun Specialty Show!

Eric Stewart will be the judge for our Nationals and John Grimm will be the judge for our Specialty show. I am SO excited about these judges, because I know Eric loves the Argente Bruns and John Grimm was on the Standards Committee during my presentations.

That's 2 shows in 1 day for Bruns. Youth will have their own shows.
The Portage County Rabbit Club is also hosting a minimum of 2 all Breed Open Shows!

Jim Theurer will be Secretary of all shows. Amir Softic is Superintendent.

There will be a booth and possibly a raffle.
Cooping for up to 20 rabbits guaranteed, for additional $3.25 for the entire weekend.

Support your club. Will update with entry fees within the week.
Look for new posts frequently!!!

We have several American Argente Brun Breeders out there with babies in the box, or ready to sell.
Our club members are always willing to promote the Argente Brun.
If looking for breeding stock, check with a member of the AABRC club to see if they know someone reputable who does have breeding stock.
In the Pacific Northwest, there is Rick & Char Wardrop. The COD holders of the American Argente Brun rabbit and on the BOD of the AABRC rabbit club.

Annie Wilson, BOD Member of the AABRC club. Is raising all the d'Argent breeds. Should have stock ready to go anytime. Annie lives on Camano Island north of Seattle.

Alecia Gryph Rivas is an AABRC member who lives in Graham, WA. She is currently in a life changing time and has had to postpone any breeding. Just wait, next year she'll be back, stronger than ever.

Carrie Lee Thompson and Greg Faw, have Argente Bruns with some bucks ready to move on. They live by Shelton, WA.

Julie Sennes, ARBA Judge and BOD member of the AABRC Club. Julie has babies near weaning age. Julie lives in Chehalis, WA.

Dakota Martin lives in South Central Oregon. Unsure if Dakota has Bruns, but he has been a supporter since before the inception of the club.

Mari Jo Young, Hanna Martin, Liam Brown, and Marianna Martin all live in Independence, OR. This is a 3 generation rabbitry that has all 3 of the d'Argent breeds. They have babies ready to move on. They are in a semi-holding pattern with breeding, awaiting a move to a new farm. Once that goes through, production will literally take off!

Barbara and Rudy Jacquez live in Loyalton, CA. They have all 3 Argente breeds. Their Bruns are younger, but ought to be in production later this summer.

Alan Rafferty and Kendal Bledsoe have Argente Bruns from Raindeer (us) and Miner (Jordan) lines. They live outside Fresno, CA. They are producing some very nice upcoming Argente Bruns. They will be major contenders at San Diego.
Alan tied Jim Theurer for the first BOB Argente Brun in the Nation. Both had BOB on same day in their shows' A show. Alan and Kendal do have babies. Unsure if weaned at this posting, but very soon to be, if not.

Jordan Miner is our Youth BOD for the AABRC. Jordan got his start in Bruns from Rick and me 2 years ago at West Coast Classic. He got another trio at WSRBA State Convention in June 2014 and another trio at Ft. Worth Convention. While at Ft. Worth, I also let him pick any rabbit that wasn't in my presentation as a birthday gift. He chose Rick's favorite doe RW265.
With Jordan's awesome start and good eye, he has developed one of the strongest, most resembling the SOP herds in America. Jordan took BOB in both Open and Youth at the 1st American Argente Brun Rabbit National in Reno at the WCC. Jordan does have babies available.Jordan hails from Concord, CA.(Not too far from San Francisco).

Karen Bussell, BOD for the AABRC and raises all 3 d'Argent breeds. Karen, her S.O Don Sowers and her family (Misty & Jeremy) live in Wheatland, WY. Karen got her initial stock at Portland Convention. Unsure if she has babies available at this time. Karen, could you please post an update?

Robin Paceley-Geiger, member of the AABRC club. Is actively breeding Argente Bruns. Unsure if she has any available at this time, but plans to breed when weather settles out. Robin lives in Decatur, IL.

Donna Wood is a member of the AABRC.rabbit club. She has shown Bruns and has done well. Unsure if she has any litters currently, but will let her update this. Donna lives in Bradgate, Iowa

Heicke and Eric Wright are members of the AABRC club. I know they have purchased some Bruns. Will have to let them update. They live in East Bethel, MN.

Carolyn Krienke is a member of our AABRC club. She became actively raising Bruns in 2010 when she got a pair at the Minnesota Convention. Unsure if she has litters at this time. Carolyn, would you please post an update?

Tracie Woodman, newest member of the club. She and her family live in Ceresco, MI. She has sanctioned Bruns at her upcoming shows shows. Unsure if she has breeding age stock. Will let her update her info.

Luke Vickrey, BOD member of the AABRC Club. Has promoted Bruns by purchasing 1 year memberships to the AABRC club for those who have bought his rabbits. Luke lives in Markle, IN. Luke, could you update us on availability?

Kyra Clark got her first Brun at Ft. Worth. She had a litter of 7 and when the litter was 5 weeks old, the doe died. Kyra has persevered with the Bruns. I think she may have babies now. She did get a replacement doe from me last year, and still has her 1/2 share in a buck. Kyra lives in Harrod, OH.

Patty Tarman joined the AABRC club and purchased her original stock from us. One of the does was sent to her bred, which gave her a boost, when the doe had 7 in the litter. She has purchased from other breeders in the N.E. states. She is a force to reckon with. Has numerous BOB, & BOS. Patty lives in Cambridge, OH. Patty, can you update us as to your availability?

Renee Bandy, Brad, Shelby and Taylor Lackey have joined the club as a family. They have purchased her stock from Tarman's, Miner's, Shanahan's, and us. I hope she has great luck in her breeding. She and her family recently moved to Perrysville, OH. Renee, Any Bruns available in your barn?

Neva and Aala Shanahan are BOD members in the AABRC club. They have been breeding the Bruns since I have. They have been supplying much of the east coast with their Bruns. They have babies ready almost year round. Neva and Aala live in New Hampshire. Very supportive of new breeders.

Amir Softic is a member of the AABRC club and is just getting restarted. His first doe didn't make it with traveling and having a litter within a couple weeks' time, but Amir is recouping and plans to have babies before winter.
Amir is getting a couple does soon, so wish him well!
Amir is in Rochester, NY, look him up.

Jim Theurer is a BOD member of the AABRC. Jim holds the title of 1st Argente Brun to Grand Champion. He and Alan Rafferty also tied for the first BOB. Jim is raising and promoting his Argente Bruns, burning up the east coast at the shows. Jim lives in Halifax, PA. He currently has several Bruns for sale.

Don Hutchinson in Millersville, PA is also a member of the AABRC Club. Have not had any updates, so will let him chime in on what's happening in his nursery.

In the Southeast, we have Gary Bunch and Deron Willmoth. They purchased stock from Patty Tarman and did great at the Dalton, GA show. Haven't heard from them, so will let them update us as to their availability. Gary and Deron live in Alexandria, KY.

Colleen King lives in Etowah, SC. Unsure if she's been able to get new stock or not. Will let Colleen update us.

Gabe Rother from Hephzibah, GA has not checked in to let me know of availability. Gabe, will leave it to you to update.

Kaitlin Burns is a youth member whose membership was purchased by Luke when Kaitlyn bought a Brun from him. Kaitlin's mother keeps the club assessed with Kaitlin's progress. They currently have a litter close to weaning age. Kaitlin lives in Terre Haute, IN. Kaitlin's mother is Lori FYI.

Riley Thomas is a youth whose membership was purchased by Alan Rafferty when he bought a Brun. Alan, any updates on Riley? I know he lives in Gridley, CA.

Harry Brokaw is another of our new member, hailing from Canton, PA . Unsure what harry has in Brun numbers, but he can update us as needed.

Lastly, but certainly not least is our own Ed White. Ed is the father of our Argente Brun rabbits. My initial stock came from Ed. He spent numerous hours helping to draft an SOP that ARBA would accept. Ed's wife made the original first patch for the Argente Brun. There were only 25 of these made.
Ed is a lifetime member and mentor of our breed. Cheers Ed! He can update us on what breeds he is currently working with, as well as, answer most any question any of you may have.

So, in a nutshell, this is the listing of the paid members. There are several others that have Bruns, but not members of the club.
Please note:
Only paid club members are allowed in the American Argente Brun Rabbit Breeders' page.

Thanks,

Feel free to update your sales lists club members.
Non club-members posts will be deleted.

Hope people have plenty of Brun babies in their boxes. Have to plan for Comvention in San Diego. The Wardrop Bruns have been pretty hit and miss this year. With the triple digit heat, not wanting to put the does through pregnancy, potential lack of juniors.

New babies arrived over the last three days.
One new momma had a beautiful litter. Sadly, all on the wire with no survivors.

However, our established does did nicely. They all have a nice dark chocolate color.
