In October, 2014, we (Sara and Ed) made Muldoon Canyon our home with hopes of making our dream of farming a reality. While we have both worked on different farms around the world in the past, we knew we were ready to do it for ourselves. As all farmers know, farming is a never-ending experiment with thousands of variables, and that is certainly the case for us in this first year. We are learning a
lot about soil, water, wind, sun, and all the other factors that contribute to the process of growing food. In these beginning phases, we are producing eggs, vegetables, fruit, and herbs with the goal to feed ourselves as well as family and friends. In the future, we hope to produce more of these things as well as diverse meat products to sell through a CSA (check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQBK_ByZnhw to learn what a CSA is!). While we are not yet ready to fully implement systemized sales of our harvests, we often have bounties of beautiful produce that we would love to sell to friends and members of our community.
