Our Story
About the Educator:
After years of working as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, Carrie found her creative call and decided to become a makeup artist. She worked with cosmetics brands such as NARS, Shiseido, Estee Lauder, and Cle de Peau. During this time, a bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape changed her impression on wine, and thus, the rest of her life. While living in Japan, she studied about wine at the L'ecole du Vin and the Academie du Vin, and decided to fully devote herself to wine education after relocating to Hong Kong.
Carrie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Waseda University. She is currently a freelance educator based in Hong Kong. She was a contributor to the magazine, Spirito di Vino Asia, and has taught for Berry Bros. & Rudd, the Chinese University of Hong Kong's School of Continuing and Professional Studies (CU SCS), and the Hong Kong University School of Professional and Continuing Education (HKU SPACE). She is a contributing author to the Chinese book 「葡萄酒導師的超值買酒清單」 and recently participated in judging at the 5StarWines competition in Italy.
