Naked cakes—they may not look fancy but they’re just as tasty. From left to right:

PASSION-NUT: vanilla bean cake, cream cheese frosting, passion fruit curd, white chocolate macadamia nut cookie

SALTY DEENA: chocolate cake, cream cheese frosting, salted caramel sauce, salted chocolate chunk cookie

CARROT: carrot cake, cream cheese frosting, salted caramel sauce, butter-roasted pecans

LIME COOKIE: vanilla bean cake, cream cheese frosting, lime curd, spiced molasses cookie (here for just a bit longer before we switch over to fall flavors!)

This was an extra special wedding that I got to make the desserts for because the bride has been one of my daughter’s teachers for a few years now and we just love her to death. Another bonus was that Michelle Mitchell was the florist, whom my kiddo and I also adore.

Thanks to you all we were able to contribute $400 to X. Tattoo’s annual Love Thy Neighbor fundraiser to benefit Planned Parenthood. Between this event and Pacific Nerdwest, the feeling downtown on Saturday was quite electric and just plain heartwarming. Bellingham really is such a special place that knows how to show up when needed. 🩷🩷🩷 Thank you so much to X. Tattoo and The Comics Place for all the hard work they put into these respective events!

Superman cupcakes in honor of Pacific Nerdwest going on today! We’ve also got some Grogu macarons (coconut & cardamom in flavor) for our “nerd-themed” desserts as well.

We’ve also got nine varieties of cream puffs, some extra special Lil’ Scrappies, and lots more, with even more coming out as the day goes on!

Most importantly 15% OFF ALL WALK-IN SALES will be going towards X. Tattoo Love Thy Neighbor fundraiser to benefit Planned Parenthood.

BERRY CLOUD / Sponge cake with a light milk soak, topped with a frosting that’s essentially a cheesy (mascarpone and cream cheese) almond whipped cream, macerated strawberries and a blueberry compote. Our take on a classic, and very appropriate for summer. 😎
