Happy 1st Anniversary, Alex & Amber!

We still remember walking into the ballroom and seeing their ceremony set up right next to the windows. It was the first wedding ceremony we’d hosted in that spot, and with all that natural light pouring in, it was absolutely beautiful.

There were so many personal touches throughout their day, too. Friends and family helped with the flowers, and growlers from local breweries doubled as table numbers, which felt perfectly Bellingham.

But really, it’s Alex & Amber themselves that make these photos so good. The veil. The rooftop photos. The laughter. You can feel how happy these two were all day, and it’s nearly impossible to look through their photos without smiling right along with them.

And this wasn’t their first time in front of the camera at Chuckanut! Alex & Amber also did their engagement photos at the distillery, so consider this Part 1. We’ll be sharing those next.

Happy anniversary, you two! Thank you for letting us be part of both chapters.

We don’t usually know the couples before they book their wedding. But this time, we already knew the groom.

Parker has been part of the Chuckanut Bay family for a while, helping create the meals that bring people together. Getting to celebrate his own wedding here with Maya felt especially meaningful to all of us.

Their day wasn’t about elaborate details or a packed timeline. It was about the two of them, surrounded by the people they love most. It was simple, heartfelt, and full of the kind of joy that reminds us what weddings are really about.

A lot has changed in a couple years.

Before the ballroom was complete. Before the rooftop welcomed celebrations. Before we hosted countless weddings.

There was this.

On August 21, 2024, Maddie & Tore trusted us to host one of the very first wedding celebrations ever held at Chuckanut Bay Distillery. At the time, we were still dreaming about what this venue would become. The event spaces you know today weren’t even open yet.

Looking back at these photos is such a fun reminder of where it all began.

To Maddie & Tore, thank you for taking a chance on us and for being part of this chapter in our story. We’ll always be grateful that you helped us kick off what has become one of our favorite parts of the distillery.

And to every couple who’s celebrated a rehearsal dinner, wedding, or reception with us since, thank you for allowing us to be part of such meaningful moments. Watching this space, and the memories made here, continue to grow has been an incredible privilege.
