Mr. Frank Postl, also known as, “Mr. Frank”, immigrated to Canada from Austria in 1953. He landed in Niagara Falls, Canada with his parents and family with little more than hopes and dreams in his pockets. Frank was a master carpenter and skilled wood carver by trade and initially put those skills to use to begin his new life in Canada. He began his career in the food business by o
pening a Tasty Freeze, with 2 more to quickly follow. Soon thereafter and encouraged by a friend, the idea of the restaurant and “Frank’s Steakhouse and Tavern” was born. Frank designed and personally built the building, creating an old world structure and setting enhanced with his incredible hand carvings and personal touches. The massive “Door” to the restaurant became just one of the many causes to Mr. Frank’s notoriety in Niagara Falls and the surrounding area. To this day, though it has changed owners many times over, the building still stands along with his beautiful woodcarvings, his personal words and family names that are timelessly displayed on Victoria Ave, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, CN. Frank, per his own acknowledgement, knew nothing of the restaurant business, nor even what a steak was for that matter. He did, however, have an acute sense of taste and set out to invent a steak spice that, along with his dedication to perfection, would eventually make him famous in the “Falls”, and his restaurant a huge success. The European style first class service, and ambiance of Frank’s Steakhouse and Tavern combined with his insistence upon excellence, resulted in a successful reputation that lasted well over 20 years. Again, to this day, many will remember or recognize the original logo of “Mr. Frank’s,” and recall with fond memories the taste of one of his steaks, fresh trout, or the butter they dipped their lobster into as a result of this incredible and one of a kind seasoning mix. Mr. Frank’s Kitchen, formerly known as "Mr Frank's Spice Co." is a manufacturer of proprietary spice blends and a company, which was founded in 2016 in honor of the late Mr. Frank Postl by his daughter Lisa, in an effort to carry on his memory and remarkable legacy. The company recently rebranded due to the diversity and development of future products, with the line of spice blends now being called "Mr. Frank's Seasonings. Frank’s Kitchen strives to provide its customers with the finest products possible by using strictly a fresh ground process and only the purest of spices and herbs available. Absolutely NO additives, fillers, or preservatives are used in the production of the spice blends. Additionally, the environment and sustainability are also of great concern for Mr. Frank’s Kitchen, so the spice blends are provided in a custom, stainless steel shaker that can be used for years to come, with single refillable bags of the blends available both online via the company website as well as in stores. Due to customer demand, bulk bags for restaurant and larger consumption are now also available. Currently, Mr. Frank’s Kitchen has 6 main product lines;

6) Seasoning Salt. Their flagship product is their Original Seasoning, which Mr. Frank himself created in 1964 and is a universal all-purpose seasoning. Due to consumer demands, the 5 additional blends were created by Lisa and have received an equally fantastic response. Lisa is the President and founder and has over 20 years of management and restaurant industry experience. She is also an accomplished chef and has been an entrepreneur for over 15 years, which has provided the company with a strong foundation of product quality and excellence in customer service. She is also the Creative Director behind the company’s current line of products, as well as the ones in future development.
