🐴 AMOS — 20-Year-Old Grade Sorrel Gelding

You name it, Amos has probably done it! He spent most of his life as a ranch horse in Montana and the last five years at a trail riding facility carrying beginner riders.

Amos is absolutely gentle and has more whoa than go most days. Whether you’re an older rider looking for a quiet trail partner or a family looking for the kids’ first horse, Amos would fit the bill. He’s an experienced old gelding with plenty to teach someone just getting started.

He does need to gain some weight, and his price reflects that. He’s been turned out with 70 other horses and was at the bottom of the pecking order.

Rojo is a 6-year-old sorrel gelding standing 15.3 hands. He is 100% gentle and has spent the last year and a half at a trail riding facility, where he was used as a beginner horse.

Tank is built like a brick house and has the experience to go with it. He has been used as a head horse and is good at his job. He’s also been used to gather cattle in West Texas, worked in the branding pen, picked up at rodeos, and flagged rodeos.

Tank doesn’t have any spook or silly business. He has an awesome handle, moves well off your leg, side passes, and opens gates. He also ground ties and will stand there for days.

Tank does have a few quirks. If tied solid, he will occasionally sit back, so I would not recommend him for a complete beginner. However, anyone who knows horses and can ride should get along with him well.

If you’re looking for a big, stout, experienced gelding that has done a little bit of everything, Tank is worth a look.

They have both been turned out in the pasture for several years. They both need a good tuneup. We saddled both of them. They stood there took a saddle fine rode them no hump Buck or anything, but they need to work on their handle. I’m not taking a bunch of pictures. Extremely gentle mare!! If you can hold the bridle reins you can ride this mare. She has a nice neck rein. She easy to catch, very in your pocket, and loves attention. She does have a knot on the side of her neck, I have not had a vet look at it and don’t plan on having it looked at. I’m selling her cheap for that reason.
