Today, I find myself thinking about the fathers who make up Gander Family Farms—my dad, my husband, my brother, and my brother-in-law.
I could spend this post talking about the unique ways each of them contributes to the farm. The long hours, hard work, and responsibilities they carry.
But today, I’m reminded that their most important work happens at home.
They each lead, teach, and love their children well. They are incredible fathers.
To my dad, your dream to farm was hard fought. Over the years, we’ve grown it into something beautiful together, something that continues to grow and evolve. Perhaps the truest testament to your legacy is that all three of your children chose this same challenging, beautiful way of life for their own families.
You continue to lead and love your children and grandchildren well. When I watch your grandchildren growing up farming, I can’t help but wonder what parts of that legacy they’ll carry forward too.
Happy Father’s Day to all the hardworking, loving dads who show up day after day for their families. The world needs men like you.
