⭐️ SHINERS PARR TARI ⭐️
2025 palomino gelding
Sire: Shining Smoke Tari (Shining Spark)
Dam: Zans Skipin Dixie (Zan Parr Spyder by Zan Parr Bar)
This good-looking yellow gelding is bred with the same cross that Hall of Fame breeder Carol Rose made famous over 30 years ago - Shining Spark and Zan Parr Bar.
This guy will have his sire’s sensitivity, quickness, athletic ability, and grit. He will get his speed, rate, and another dose of athleticism from his dam.
He has a good mind but has enough sting to be competitive. If you are looking for an elite calf, breakaway or heel horse, we think this c**t will be impressive.
We think he will mature out to be 14.3 to 15 hands.

Friday we had the opportunity to host a group of horse enthusiasts and showmen/woman from Japan along with American Quarter Horse Association, NRHA - National Reining Horse Association, and Montana Department of Agriculture representatives, Scott, Angie, and Walt, respectively.

We were pleased to have all our studs on site and on display for them to view.

They finished their big day of touring in Central Montana with a homecooked (smoked!) meal of BBQ pulled pork at our cabin with a gorgeous sunset and great fellowship.

They all picked out Ashley Quarter Horses hats to take back home to Japan and wear there 🤗

We’ve been busy with the start of fall here on the ranch at Belt 🍂

The c**ts are growing and looking great. We do still have a few nice weanling stud c**ts currently available as well as a yearling gelding. If you’re interested, don’t wait to get ahold of us and schedule a visit.

Will be showcasing our NILE consignment in the next couple weeks - he’s a dandy! 🤩

While the weather has been nice, we have been working on some extra projects around the ranch.
Lately, we have been taking out some old corral fencing and putting new pipe fence in. Thanks Wyatt Schearer for your help and welding - it’s coming together great! Jonathan was able to stop in last weekend to offer some assistance and play weld inspector 😆

The leaves are beginning to turn their colors and make it feel more like hunting season. We’ve spent a couple days working at our little cabin applying oil sealant to the logs, brush stroke by brush stroke with love.

We have several tire tanks we plan to install to keep improving the ranch and better the clean water availability in pastures for our cattle and horses.

Our yearling steers ship out next week and that same day we were asked to host a special group of people interested in our horses for a little tour. Will be sharing more on that later.

If you know Lanell, you know he is constantly looking at stud prospects that will complement our mares and keep moving our program forward. With that, we have a couple new sires we will be introducing later this fall/winter.

Busy time of year, but we are so blessed!
So much to be grateful for!

Congratulations to Chase Moran and Jake Foulger - winners of the Ron and Louise Horn Memorial roping put on by the Rosebud Rodeo Club.

Christopher Earl Ashley helps with each of the ropings and made this really special photo with Ron and Louise looking over the arena.

Huge shout out to Lance and Donna Whiteside Ashley for playing a big part in these ropings, all the time they put into them, and for making this one extra meaningful carrying on Ron and Louise’s memory.

WOODY BE A HICKORY
2025 bay gelding
Big, tall yearling that has amazing potential as a versatile prospect.
Clean neck with a pretty head and huge hip.
3/4 of some top cow-horse breeding with 1/4 old school speed lines.
It looks like this nice gelding should mature out to about 15.1 to 15.2 hands and have loads of ability.
No cuts, dings, or injuries.
He runs out in big pastures with other horses and wire fences.
Halter and tie broke. Will work with him on loading in a trailer.

Come join the Rosebud Rodeo Club for the Ron and Louise Horn Memorial Roping 💕

Ron and Louise had a huge hand in getting this roping club started years ago in Forsyth, it’s an honor to be roping in their memory.
