Even though the rain cut us a few hours short yesterday, I still have to say WOW, Just WOW! I am humbled by the amount of visitors that has came out to support the farm since Sunday! It was so nice meeting and talking to everyone that I didn’t know and catching up with the ones I do know. I hope you all enjoyed your visit as much as I enjoyed talking to you! You all are AMAZING 💜

We are located half a mile from Lake Malone State Park and will have the driveway marked with a sign and balloons. When you arrive please park in front of the grey barn. Looks like the rain has cleared and it is a beautiful day! If you are planning on coming out to the farm today to have a fresh bundle of lavender cut for you for $15.00 + tax our address is 4835 State Route 973, Belton KY 42324. We are right at a half mile from Lake Malone State Park on Hwy 973. Our drive is somewhat hidden but it is marked with purple and white balloons on each side and our sign. You will park at the grey barn at the end of the long driveway. We look forward to seeing you 💜

We are in the final week of harvesting our lavender at the farm and have decided to try something a little different. Starting tomorrow, Sunday, June 23 through Wednesday, June 26 from 4:30pm- 7:30pm you can stop by the farm, and we will cut you a fresh bundle of lavender that consists of 150-200 stems of lavender for $15.00(plus tax). Along with being able to purchase these fresh bundles right out of the field you can also purchase other items that we offer such as sachets, dried bundles, soaps, and our lavender coffee. We will accept cash, local checks, Venmo, and debit/credit cards. If you decide to take the beautiful drive out to Breezy Hill Acres the address is 4835 State Route 973, Belton Ky 42324.

In the heat of the day today I took a break from harvesting lavender and decided to try and make a fresh lavender wreath and finalize some touches on our dried lavender bundles. I am so pleased at how the wreath turned out and I am in love with how beautiful the dried bundles are turning out this year 💜

We have had a couple of busy days at the farm. Harvested a few hundred pounds of our French lavender and have all of them drying in the shop. We also have planted another 300 plants today so we are now at about 1,000 plants.

Did you know that ladybugs are a natural pest control? Ladybugs eat aphids, spider mites, white flies, thrips, mealy bugs, leaf hoppers, and more. A single ladybug can consume up to 50 aphids daily. Ladybugs serve as allies for farmers by significantly reducing the need for any type of chemical pesticide which can contaminate the water and harm the environment. Here at Breezy Hill Acres we only organically treat our lavender with Neem Oil and only when absolutely necessary to control pests. This year we have decided to combat these pests by creating a more biodiverse environment in the lavender by using ladybugs. Yesterday, we released 1500 ladybugs into our lavender in hopes that it will eliminate any need for organic pest control.
