What a wonderful find I didn’t know we had! As I admired her this morning she provided a gentle reminder to keep growing, keep blooming, and don’t let all the “weeds” steal the joy!

Anyone ever have a wasp nest ON their plants?
I was out working in the raised beds, minding my own business, and reached blindly into my pepper plant, like the total professional I am!! 😂 When my hand brushed against a new object. To my surprise it was a wasp nest! Miraculously, I did not get stung! Did I briefly leave my physical body… maybe!

Turns out, wasps really aren’t just here to ruin your sweet tea! After this I had to do some research and learned they actually love hanging out in vegetable gardens because they hunt down and eat garden pests like caterpillars, aphids, and beetle larvae. They are basically free pest control with a spicy attitude.
However, due to location, and my sanity, I mean safety, the nest has been removed!

Meet Boozer & Bailey! 🐾

Some of y'all may remember I BRIEFLY introduced these two little farm kittens about a week and a half ago... and then the post mysteriously disappeared!
Well, it quickly became obvious that one of these tiny little troublemakers wasn't feeling his best, wasn't eating solid food, and needed a vet. Rather than host an internet debate on kitten care, I quietly pulled the post and focused on getting these babies healthy.
Fast forward to today: both kittens have been on antibiotics, one has been rocking some eye cream, and they're now happily devouring canned kitten food like our garbage disposals.
Now around five weeks old, they're doing great!
So for the time being, we’ve traded barn life for house life until they are a little bigger and stronger.
These babies appear to be Siamese mixes which are often known for being intelligent, curious, excellent mousers, and adaptable, which makes them great candidates for life around a farm or barn.

Soooo… Welcome to the farm, Boozer and Bailey! We love you so much already!!❤️❤️
And yes, we're still accepting guesses on which one is which... because we're not always sure ourselves!

A huge shoutout to Garcia’s Remodeling Services out of the Knoxville TN area! Look at this door!! I’m in love! This wasn't a simple replacement. They actually had to cut a brand new opening right through our wall!They are always so professional, super knowledgeable, and helpful with everything. We love the new look!
