🌮 QUICK REVIEW — IN-A-TUB TACO | NORTH OAK TRAFFICWAY
We know this one isn’t our usual little mom-and-pop stop, but In-A-Tub is absolutely a Kansas City local classic. Some of you probably remember grabbing these back in the Antioch Mall days — and thankfully, we still have a couple standalone locations keeping it going. 💜
Now, let’s be clear… these are NOT your traditional tacos. 😂
They’re deep-fried, crispy as hell, loaded with lettuce, your choice of salsa, and finished with that infamous cheesy powder on top.
And honestly? That’s exactly why we love them.
These are one of my favorite basic, completely-not-basic tacos around town. They don’t check a single box for what you’d normally expect from a taco — but that crunch is absolutely TO DIE FOR.
The staff at the North Oak location deserves some love too. It doesn’t seem to matter what time of night we walk in — they’re usually friendly, joking around, and making the whole experience easy.
And the prices? Still pretty damn good.
We grabbed 28 tacos + 2 sides of jalapeño poppers for right around $100 — which, when you’re feeding a whole crew, really isn’t bad at all.
We usually grab ours to go and either eat them on the way home or take them over to The View because, I mean… who doesn’t love tacos with a view? 😂🌮🌆

If you’ve never had In-A-Tub, stop in and check it out. Just don’t go in expecting a traditional taco — this is its own thing, and that’s the whole point.
