starting september 19th, we will be meeting at granny’s at 9am to have a morning run! we will have TWO separate paces to choose from! run with the 7:30/mile pace or the 10:00/mile pace !!!!

distance: 5K!

free to attend !!!!!
come make some friends, get in a good run & then come hang at granny’s and enjoy an açaí bowl or smoothie !!!!

I’ve watched the Temple/Belton area grow so much over the past few years, but especially within the last year or so. And I have one little hot take when it comes to all of this growth.

I don’t have a problem with people moving here. Not at all. I think it’s amazing to see our community grow. Growth brings new people, new opportunities, and new businesses, and I truly love seeing our area thrive.

BUT… if you’re moving to a “small town” because you want to get away from the city, slow down, and have that “hometown feel,” then support the local businesses that create that feeling in the first place.

Small towns are built around small businesses — coffee shops, gyms, hair salons, boutiques, restaurants, bakeries, boutiques, and so many other locally owned places.

If you’ve moved here, or you’ve been here your whole life, make it a point to support the town you chose to call home. Shop local. Eat local. Get your coffee from the local coffee shop. Try the little restaurant you’ve never been to. Shop at the boutique. Tell your friends about your favorite local businesses.

There are SO many incredible small businesses throughout Temple and Belton, and so many of them are owned by people who pour their hearts, time, money, and energy into making this community better.

And honestly, something I’ve been wondering lately is,
with so many people moving into our area, why are small businesses still struggling?

More people should mean more support, right?

If you’re new here — welcome! We’re so happy you’re here. But while you’re becoming part of our community, don’t forget to support the small businesses that have been here building it. I assure you every small business you walk into will make you feel like family.

And if you’ve lived here your whole life, keep doing what you’ve been doing. Your support matters more than you probably realize.

Support local. Shop small. Eat local. And encourage the people around you to do the same!

Because at the end of the day, small businesses are what make a small town feel like home!

Saturday, October 17th
12PM - 4PM
$30 Vendor Fee

We want this market to be filled with unique, locally made goods and small businesses that put love into what they create!

Some of the things we’re looking for:

• Salsa + sauces
• Fresh baked goods
• Homemade bread
• Fresh produce
• Fresh-squeezed juices

✨Handmade Goods
• Natural soaps
• Hand-poured candles
• Handmade jewelry
• Pottery + ceramics
• Woodworking
• Crochet + knitted goods
• Handmade home décor
• Artwork + handmade crafts
• Totes, bags + accessories

✨ If you make it by hand, we want to hear from you!

We’re looking for artisan-made products—not mass-produced or commercially resold items. Our goal is to create a market that feels local, handmade, and full of unique finds!
