We bring the harvest to your farm.
On-farm beef and hog harvest, one hour out of Turtle River. Your animal never
gets loaded on a trailer, never takes the ride, never sees a strange place. It
stands in the pasture it's always stood in. That's better for the animal, and
anybody who's cut a lot of meat will tell you it's better for the meat.
It's cradled clean, covered, and hanging in our cooler the same morning. And
our place is a smokehouse, not a locker plant — your bacon, your hams, your
brats and summer sausage get made in the same building by the same people who
cut your animal.
Here's what it costs. No calling around to find out.
Beef harvest, on your farm — $150/head, $130 each if you've got two or more on
the same stop
Hog harvest, on your farm — $95/head, $85 each for two or more
Mileage — $1.50 a mile from our door to your place. One charge for the trip,
not per animal.
Cut and wrap — $0.90/lb hanging weight, and that's everything: cut, ground,
wrapped, labeled, frozen
Vacuum sealed — add $1.00/lb if you want it
Smoking and curing — $1.50/lb. Bulk sausage $3.00/lb.
First farm day is Thursday, October 15, and we're booking dates for it right
now. Six animals a day and the fall books up fast.

USDA custom exempt. It stays your animal start to finish — we're a service, not
a meat seller. Every package is stamped NOT FOR SALE and it feeds you, your
household, and anyone at your table who isn't paying for the meal.
