Bemidji was hit by a huge storm Friday night, Saturday morning. I baked for the market, but the damage made it impossible to leave. So, I still have a lot of sourdough, bagels, etc. Please come and get it. If you want to pay for it, just make a donation, but otherwise I just don't want all of this to go to waste and I'm not asking anything for it anymore. I dont have power or internet here and it seems a cell tower might down, so I'll post my address, but I won't be able to answer questions.
We lost hundreds of trees. It took us 5 hours to clear our driveway and grandpa's driveway just enough to get to our generator which was at grandpa's house. He lives next door. Keith said he counted at least a hundred trees just on the driveways.
I'm very certain we had two separate tornados here. We were in the basement, so it was fine, but I heard the train sound and my ears were popping not once, but two separate times about 20 minutes apart. I couldnt see anything, because it was raining so hard. But you could feel it.
The fences will all need to be rebuilt, but we've got them tacked back up for now. We lost our hightunnel, greenhouse is damaged, a giant maple broke and fell onto my mushroom house crushing it. The woodshed is gone. And we are still without water. The cows are fine, but it rained so hard the piglets drowned. 😭
We got very lucky. My neighbor's house lost their roof. It's in pieces throughout the woods.
I'm still in shock. And trying to process this. We have a lot of cleanup to do and I dont know what the future looks like right now.
This is my address for sourdough- 9099 Walnut Rd. SE, Bemidji.
Thank you everyone. ❤️❤️❤️
