Please pray that they got this way way wrong.
The Old Farmer’s Almanac has released its summer 2026 forecast, and the big headline is one many producers won’t love: Much of the United States is expected to see a hotter-than-normal summer, with rainfall patterns that vary sharply by region. ☀️☀️☀️
Across much of the country, the outlook points to extended heat paired with dry conditions, especially in parts of the West, High Plains, and East. Other areas, including sections of the Heartland, Gulf Coast, Lower Lakes, and parts of southern Canada, could see a wetter pattern.
While long-range outlooks are not meant to predict day-to-day weather, they can offer a useful big-picture view for growers, ranchers, and rural families making seasonal plans.
