Double Nut Farms LLC is so grateful for our customers loyalty and support! Your continued support enables us to partner with wonderful folks like JC Farms and Chef Sera Cuni of Cafe Root Cellar this year getting food to those in need in our community! JC Farms is donating full Thanksgiving meals along with a pork bundle donated by Double Nut Farms to two families in our community 🙏
Chef Sera is the founder of the Feed-Well Fridges located in Siler City and Pittsboro, a food waste recue initiative. Sera works with donations from local restaurants, grocers and farmers to combat food waste by creating take and heat meals along with veggies, meats and milk for the fridge. So far, we have donated broth bones for soups and stews, frozen meat for the fridge and will be delivering more bones, ground pork and sausage next week. As the much loved Winnie the Pooh would say, "It's a rather blustery day!" 🍃 but tomorrow is going to be GORGEOUS and we have the perfect way to enjoy it! ☀️
Come on out to FireClay Cellars and join us with Fulford Family Tree Farm & Greenhouse for a relaxing afternoon on the porch! We'll be there from 1-5pm with all of our delicious and nutrient dense woodland and pasture raised pork cuts, sausages and BACON! 🥓
Stop by and "talk plants" with Marissa and take home one (or two!) of her beautiful houseplants she grows at her farm here in Chatham County! 🪴
And of course, sit a spell on FireClay's grand porch overlooking their beautiful vineyard while enjoying a glass of their superb 🍷selection, from grapes grown, vinted and bottled on site! 🍾

Double Nut Farms LLC Garlic Bratwurst and Cabbage is so dang good y'all! It's our favorite way to eat Bratwurst and is a fairly quick and easy 1 skillet dish 😋
Recipe Below! 👇

Remove brats (1 per person) from their casing and brown in a skillet. Cook until about 3/4 way done, remove from pan and place in a covered bowl. Set aside. Add cabbage (1 small head per 4 brats), add a small amount of water or broth to skillet and cook covered on medium heat until about 1/2 way done. Bring the brats back to the pan, pour on top of the cabbage, cover and reduce heat to low/medium low. Allow to simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Enjoy!

All set up at The Pint Sized Pasture for their monthly Food Truck Market! Come play with the animals, shop from 25 vendors and grab some dinner from numerous food trucks (I HIGHLY recommend a Cali Burrito from The Taco Shack) and a 🍻 from Camelback Brewing Company, the Cali I.P.A. hits the spot and will pair nicely with our Garlic Bratwurst Links! Plus AWESOME live music from Whiskey Pines!
