Throwback to 2020! 😎 We found this awesome video while going through some old marketing materials this morning. Our equipment dealer filmed it for us, and we have to say, they did an incredible job. We thought it was too good not to share again!

We can't stop thinking about the hopeful moisture coming this week and anymore we might get before the drills head to the fields next month.

What have we been doing Wednesday?
Our harvest equipment is in the shop for a comprehensive pre-harvest inspection, while the 8R tractors are keeping operations moving in the fields. Through it all, our team continues to work together, learn from each other, and grow every day.

On the Move Monday

We wanted to share a look at the storm that rolled through last Wednesday. The winds were strong enough to take down several telephone poles and scatter tree limbs across the area.

Despite the damage, the rain was a blessing. Our fall crops were in need of moisture, and this storm delivered it in a big way. As always, farming teaches us to take the good with the bad and appreciate every drop when it comes.

Prep for In the Field Friday!
We’re getting a rare head start this year on pulling out the wheat drills for maintenance — normally we’re still cutting wheat. Our team has been putting in the hard work, including rolling around on the ground to get the perfect angle. Even with the heat of being outside, the smiles of this crew don't fade.
With this jump on preparation, we’re excited to roll into fall and kick off Wheat Drilling Wednesdays once Mother Nature gives us the green light. Hopefully some cooler temps next week will help with maintenance progress as well.

A Special Farm Visit During Harvest!

We were honored to welcome Nancy Matthews and Cindy Moore, winners of the Full Farm Experience auction package from the Bow Ties and Tails event hosted by Canine Partners of the Rockies!

Nancy and Cindy joined us on June 30th during our wheat harvest, giving them a firsthand look at the hard work, equipment, and teamwork that go into bringing in the crop. From the sights and sounds of harvest to experiencing life on the farm, we enjoyed sharing this special time with them and hope they had as much fun as we did!

We're also proud to learn more about Canine Partners of The Rockies, an organization dedicated to transforming lives by providing highly trained service dogs to individuals with disabilities. Their work helps create greater independence, confidence, and companionship for the people they serve, making a meaningful difference in countless lives.

Thank you, Nancy and Cindy, for spending the day with us and teaching us more about you.

Last week, we wrapped up another harvest at Kalcevic Farms, finishing up on Tuesday after a fast-paced 9-day push.
While it was a shorter harvest season, it still took tremendous effort, dedication, and teamwork to get the job done safely and efficiently.
We are incredibly grateful for our entire crew who showed up every day ready to work hard and make the most of every hour.
To celebrate a successful harvest, we gathered on Wednesday for our annual harvest party and enjoyed a Cajun boil with the team. It was a great opportunity to relax, share a meal, and recognize the people who make everything possible.
A huge THANK YOU to our employees, family members, and everyone who helped throughout the season. Your commitment and hard work do not go unnoticed, and we couldn't do it without you.
Here's to a successful harvest and another season in the books! 🌽👏

🇺🇸🌾 4th of July from Kalcevic Farms 🌾🇺🇸

Fireworks aren’t the only thing popping today — the fields are busy, the crews are moving, and we’re grateful for the moisture and steady progress this season.

As we celebrate Independence Day, we’re reminded that agriculture has always been rooted in resilience, hard work, and community. From our team to yours, we wish you a safe, productive, and patriotic 4th of July.

Happy Monday! We resume sharing our harvest progress. Yesterday, we finally got four combines and two grain carts in operation. The team managed both seed wheat and regular wheat harvesting in two teams.
The breathtaking sunset that marked the end of the day highlighted the rewards and difficulties inherent to agricultural work. This past week we saw devastating weather across the state including in our own backyard. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone and their operations as they face this difficult time.
