Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸🌸

The Fourth has always been one of my favorite days of the year…partly because it’s America’s birthday and partly because it’s mine too. 😊

This year I’m especially grateful. Grateful for another year, family, this little flower farm journey, and for every bloom that reminds me why I started Hinson Harvest in the first place.

I hope your day is filled with family, laughter, good food, and a few simple moments that make you smile.

Happy Independence Day! ❤️

I could have watched this little hummingbird all morning . ❤️

Seeing the flower patch come alive with butterflies, bees, and now hummingbirds has been one of my favorite parts of this journey.

A few of the first snapdragons from my first experiment growing them. 🌸

These have been growing right here at home in containers with bamboo stakes and a little raffia helping keep everybody standing tall. I was skeptical about them tolerating the intense summer heat in the field, so I improvised and kept them in a shady spot where I could give them a little extra attention.

They’re a reminder that you don’t always have to wait for perfect conditions to grow something beautiful. Sometimes you simply start with what you have.

Seeing these first blooms has definitely made me smile.😊

Happy Father’s Day! 💙

Today I’m especially thankful for the fathers and grandfathers whose love, hard work, and quiet example leave a lasting mark on our lives.

Hinson Harvest is rooted in family, and I’m grateful for the generations that helped make this little dream possible.

Wishing all the dads out there a wonderful Father’s Day.

It looks like tomorrow may be the first harvest day of the season 🌸

Not sure yet what the flowers will become, but I’m excited to finally start bringing some of them in after months of seed trays, transplanting, watering, pinching, and waiting.

We’ll see what tomorrow brings. 😊

Looks like the butterflies found the flowers before anybody else 🦋🌸

I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to finally see some blooms and their little visitors. After months of seed trays, transplanting, and a whole lot of patience, it’s exciting to see the flower field beginning to come alive.

There’s something satisfying about ending the day with dirt under your fingernails 🌸

After being away from the farm for a couple of weeks, it felt good to get back out there yesterday. More seedlings are in the ground, the flowers are growing, and for the first time this season I’m starting to see a few blooms.

It’s still early, but little by little it’s all coming together.

Today is World Bee Day 🐝🌿

Seeing bees out in the flowers always makes me think about my daddy keeping bees when I was a child. I remember him putting on the gear and using the smoker before checking the hives.

Funny how those little memories stick with you.

This video was from last summer — hoping to see a whole lot more of this again soon.

I’d love to know what the people at the service department thought when I rolled in with trays of flower seedlings packed in my car 🌿😂

Anyway… the car got serviced and the seedlings got transplanted, so I’d say the day was a success.

Now I’m off to celebrate my baby girl’s birthday 💞
