Sandwiches • Breakfast • Bakery & Desserts • Soups & Salads • Deli • Local Meats & Cheese • Groceries • Wine & Artisan Products • Catering • Farmers Market • Community Events & so much more! Bennington Community Market is a community-supported grocery store that supports local farmers and makes healthy food accessible to everyone in our community. The mission

of the Bennington Community Market is to support local farmers, increase access to healthy food for all members of our community, and contribute to the revitalization of downtown Bennington. The market will be a year-round hub to enjoy seasonal cooking and eating, as well as to provide grocery staples and take-home meal options from our kitchen. In partnership with area organizations that work with food-insecure populations, our Healthy Food Access Fund will provide discounts to our neighbors in need. We are thrilled to share that the Market, along with other partners in the Bennington Fair Food Initiative, was recently nominated for a federal earmark by Representative Peter Welch to support our regional food system efforts. The vision of the Bennington Community Market is to promote sustainable local agriculture, contribute to the revitalization of downtown Bennington, and increase access to healthy food for all members of our community. In partnership with local farmers and food producers, the Market will sell fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, grains, dairy products, beverages, and more from around the region. The Market will also offer prepared foods—including a bakery and coffee station—available to take home or for in-store dining. Bennington Community Market has chosen a nonprofit model as this allows us to put our mission first—supporting local farmers and making healthy food accessible to everyone in our community. The Market's board of directors is committed to being representative of the community it serves; the bylaws state that the board must include at least one farmer and one member of the Bennington Hunger Council.

We are Happy to highlight one of our local vendors:
Through my Eyes, photography by Steph Ryder.

Steph is a local photographer that has a variety of Canvas prints and greeting cards available for purchase here at the Bennington Community Market.

Looking for a pop of color or something classic?

Her canvas prints come two sizes, 8x8 and 8x10.
Petite and the perfect accent to any empty space.

She also has a great selection of greeting cards to browse as well.
With such a wide variety available, you’re sure to find something perfect.

Here at Bennington community market we are looking for local crafters, artists and artisans to showcase their products.
Steph is only one of many talented locals that choose to have their products here.
Keep an eye out for more vendor highlight posts!

We are happy to highlight Watson Wheeler’s very first Perry!
Locally made. Right in Shaftsbury, Vermont.

“Introducing our very first Perry. We don’t have access to a lot of pears (yet) but we are still able to collect enough from generous friends and neighbors to make this small batch.
While most of those pears about probably be considered usual suspects, we also scrounged up enough wild pears to give this elixir some edge to compliment its fruity eaters and subtly sweet finish. PS- Owen’s pears are weird.

This 5% APV pairs well with your picnic basket and is available in limited supply!
Only 180 bottles were made total but Watson Wheeler were able to bring some here to the community market to share with our local customers!

The Bakery is always selling out fast, but stop on by to pick up something sweet while it lasts!

We are still serving $1.00 iced coffees at a first come, first serve basis and there are plenty of Vermont products and Artisan goods available!

We know everyone has questions.
During times of uncertainty, especially with a lack of information, it’s hard to know what the facts are.
Especially in a small town.
What we can say in this moment, is how much we appreciate your continued support and thank each and every one of you for your encouragement while we transform the market into a place everyone will be excited about.

Stay tuned for updates and information in the near future as our plans progress!
