This week weโ€™re shining a light on 19ร—1950 Family Farm, a family-run farm committed to regenerative and perennial food production. Their market garden focuses on crops that come back year after year, building healthier soil and stronger ecosystems while producing beautiful, nutrient-dense food.

On about five acres they grow a diverse mix of favorites like asparagus, elderberry, rhubarb, seasonal vegetables, herbs, and even cut flowers. Their market acreage is also surrounded by certified organic fields of corn, soybeans, and wheat โ€” creating a landscape that blends perennial food production with large-scale organic farming.

Well, yโ€™all, weโ€™ve come to the inevitable end of the always-too-short asparagus season. Our plants are still relatively young so we are going to stop harvesting now to ensure they get plenty of energy for next year! But donโ€™t worry, elderberry is right on its heels!
