This morning the sweet smell of Maple Apple Butter fills the air here!
We simmered 2 crock pots of apples overnight. This morning the apples are measured and added to a LARGE pot along with pure maple syrup from Ohio, cinnamon,nutmeg and allspice. No sugar, just sweet maple syrup . Aaahhhh the wonderful smell that fills the air!!!
PS... I never need scented candles or air freshners because my house always smells like something wonderful is cooking... What a win win situation 🥰

This morning I woke up thinking about small businesses... They are called "the backbone of America" and for good reason.
They are the dedicated people who show up everyday and work hard because they LOVE what they do!
I think of different people who are so creative or who have carried their babies to work with them and spent time with them instead of being away from them all day and leaving someone else to raise them. Not that every job can be like that but the ones who can... Congrats.

Boy was I ever excited to find Apple Cider on the store shelves today! We make and Apple Cider Jelly that we actually got a winning ribbon for at the NC State Fair.
Sweet Mike RUSHED to the store to get me some!
I know you all hear me say I often forget from the season we are to the next how wonderful some things are. This is one of them!
Absolutely delicious!!!!

I am in full Christmas planning mode today! Yes it's early as most would think, but what we do takes time. From the gathering supplies, to cooking, and labeling it all takes time.
We are a small company.. that still does things the old fashioned way to bring the best quality products. We have had offers from commercial bottlers, but to make huge batches they "would have to change the recipes just a little" ... Which is not what we envision for our company or the people who love our products.

Corn Relish!
This sweet, tangy relish is great served on fish tacos, made into a dip to use with chips, using cream cheese and sour cream and shredded cheese, added into an omelet, topping your hot dogs, hamburgers, brats and so much more!!!

Well, I'm not a cheesecake baker, like my daughter Christy, but I make the best cheesecake jams you will ever taste!

They are all wonderful! I love to put them in thumbprint cookies, or a spoonful in Pillsbury crescent rolls and baked to a nice golden grown, even in a biscuit rolled thin and a spoonful inside, folded in 1/2 and baked makes a tasty hand pie, or a thin pie crust with it spread over it, top with another pie crust and slice into squares.. crimp edges and you have you own homemade pop tarts... Oh my mouth is watering now ! How about yours????
