There’s something special about aged Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon.

Pulled this beauty out of the cellar and it’s tasting amazing with some more years to go!

This 1999 single vineyard barrel select wine is our featured wine for September. Still has some beautiful fruit character, and also showing off some epic tertiary notes. This was a cooler vintage and that has really helped it age!

Vineyard Manager, Reid Wilson, and WaSHI Soil Health Vineyard Researcher and Manager, Liz Gillispie, will explain and demonstrate the use of hydroseeding to establish under-vine cover crops.

Topics will include:

-Establishing under-vine cover crops using hydroseeding
-Suitable under-vine cover crop species for our region
-Soil health benefits of hydroseeding and cover crops
-Hydroseeding technology review and live demonstration

There’s just something to love about Red Mountain Merlot!

This month we are featuring this 2009 Limited Merlot from Bel’ Villa vineyard. Red Mountain is known to age well and this wine shows us why! Balanced with notes of chocolate, spice, and herbs, and a smooth, silky texture with nicely aged tannins.

We’re enjoying its quality, aging potential, and versatility with food, and complex aromas like violet, cedar, and black tea.
