The best time to plant a fruit tree is 5 years ago. The second best time is today. I planted these trees back and fall of 2016 or spring of 2017, and they are finally producing in bulk. I had two Granny Smiths and two Honeycrisps, but the tornado took one of our Granny Smith trees. I'm going to have to get me a cider press now...

The forecast called for a beautiful weekend, so we cleared trees from our overgrown fields to prepare for bush hogging, so we can convert them to pastures. Along the way, I taught our older boys proper care and use of chainsaws.
