Just in case you’re barbecuing for Labor Day weekend…this No Time To Bake French Herb Bread is easy to make and so delicious!
It’s one of our most requested recipes.
You can bake ahead and freeze this bread, too.
It’s also great with pasta and salad. You know it has to be good if it includes dry Ranch dressing mix and buttermilk!

Cooks Day Off! Ethan was busy in the kitchen when we arrived…before the Friday night crowd shows up!
Hot, delicious fish served with Ethan’s Signature Tartar Sauce. Those hushpuppies are made from scratch and the baked beans, too. Absolutely delicious!
Nice to have our grandson as the cook and personal waiter!
It’s worth the drive!

Grandson Ethan spent the afternoon in the Kitchen with Mimi yesterday…making English muffins! He makes my heart smile!
The dough mixes up in less than 10 minutes and rises for 90 minutes.
We had just enough time to go to Schindler's tavern for bologna burger, BLT and curly fries, and the a stop at Essner's Custom Butchering for meat and fries.
When Ethan read my recipe notes, he realized he was 4 years old when I started making these!
He’s quite the cook, so we had a lot of fun making new memories together!
King Arthur Baking Company has the updated recipe that’s very similar to the one I’ve used for years. I also add one cup sourdough to each batch. A double batch made 24 English muffins.
They also sell the English muffin rings.

This vintage pasta sauce is so simple and absolutely delicious!
It’s great for large batches of Pasta Alfredo, or even a party of two!
A favorite recipe in our pasta making cooking classes…always with rave reviews.
It’s still one of our most requested recipes!

Yes, I’m getting ready for the “-ber months” that begin in September!
This Jamaican Me Crazy Coffee is so good…especially in my iced latte with pumpkin spice coffee syrup I made this weekend.
I prefer the whole bean coffee, to grind when it’s time to make coffee! They have a nice selection of coffees and teas.
Coffee ‘N’ More has daily lunch specials, breakfast items, pastries, and they also make smoothies, tea and coffee.
Their web page shows the lunch specials of the week.

The Cozy Cook’s Beer Cheese Soup 🧀🍺
I made this delicious soup yesterday…during the rainy morning with some thunder and lightning included!
I used Smoky Gouda and Sharp Cheddar — a bargain buy at Aldi with $.99 for the Smoky Gouda!
In the comments, I saw that someone added diced potatoes to the soup — that sounds good to me!
The Cozy Cook has more than 200,000 followers. I also noticed Brown Eyed Baker, Gimme Some Oven and Recipe Tin Eats have featured her — all have great recipes!

This Bow Tie Pasta Salad could be referred to as Everything But The Kitchen Sink Pasta Salad! I just set it in the frig so the flavors will blend all day.
🔸broccoli 🔸asparagus tips🔸green onion🔸black olives🔸
🔸banana peppers🔸sun dried tomatoes🔸pepperoni 🔸
🔸pizza cheese🔸Parmesan cheese🔸garlic🔸bow tie pasta🔸
and the Hendrickson’s Sweet Vinegar & Olive Oil Dressing
I’ll add more dressing when it’s ready to serve.

Current heat index 107°, so I think it’s a good time to share this delicious Coffee Ice Cream recipe from my cousin. Debbie served this at our cousin gathering in 2017 and received rave reviews!
My plants seem to enjoy the heat…if watered every evening! Hope you’re staying cool!

Cookie Little says this Smothered Chicken recipe from Southern Living is so delicious! She made it this week and I just had to have the recipe!
“Smothered chicken is another way of saying you're serving creamy chicken and gravy. Bacon and smoked paprika add a rounded flavor to the gravy so it's more flavorful and robust.”
I think it would be great with a side of rice or mashed potatoes.
