Here’s your friendly reminder to please wash your jars and lids before returning them- inside and out, soap and water wash! Rinsing them doesn’t cut it unless you rinse them long enough that you might as well have washed them. 😆 When you return them dirty I have to handwash them before I can run them through the dishwasher to do a final wash and sanitize (the smell of dirty milk jars 🤮) and I have plenty of my own dishes to wash every day without doing your dishes for you too.😂😘

Dried milk film doesn’t come off easily without scrubbing. What I end up with if I don’t scrub them is jars coated in a very light brown film that I can’t see until I fill them with milk.😩

Most of you do an amazing job returning them sparkling clean and I am so thankful for each of you that do! ❤️❤️❤️

You’d be forgiven for thinking this was the only food available for them. They think it and they watched me put feed in 25’ of feed troughs before I put any in this gorilla cart. 🙄 All it takes is one to eat from it and everyone assumes she has something better. 😂

We were going to get one milk cow just for ourselves, but you can’t have just one because they need a cow friend so we got two and figured family and neighbors would maybe like some milk. Then I saw Lulu for sale and I decided I really wanted a brown Swiss so then we had three. Then my friend Jennifer was going to pick up a new milk cow and I saw one that I liked and I thought, “what’s one more?” Now, two years after the first two girls came home, we have seven adult milk cows, one bull, one steer, two heifers that we raised that will be having their own calves next year, and 5 calves. That escalated quickly…. 😳😬🥰

Sweet Thelma Lou is doing so good. I enjoy our bottle feeding times. 🥰Usually her momma is with us watching (and hopefully feeding Thelma Lou herself soon), but she decided to go out to the big pasture with the other ladies this afternoon so it’s just me and baby girl right now.

FYI- the pumpkin bread freezes exceptionally well. I froze some last November and I just at the last one in August this year. It was still perfect.🤩

Thelma Lou is getting stronger every day! She is pretty stable on her feet despite the contracted tendons. We’ve been doing therapy several times a day and they no longer buckle under her. Still considering all the wonderful advice we received. Thank you to everyone that reached out. ❤️
She is taking a bottle very well, but she’s also getting closer to finding the unlimited (for her age anyway) bottle her momma has. 😄 Lulu is very patient with her, but won’t let me help speed up the process.🙄
