Fantail Farm LLC RESERVATION REQUIRED- we provide horse drawn wagon & sleigh rides on our farm. Special Events also. Farm visits welcome- by appointment.

We are located just south of Benzonia Michigan in rural Joyfield Township, Benzie county. We can provide wagon rides here or at the location of your choice. Family Reunions, Birthdays, Weddings, etc, we can help make your even memorable. We also can offer temporary horse motel services if you’re visiting the area. We are 6 miles from Lake Michigan. Equine trails and camping are not far away.

Warmer weather is forecast from this weekend through next week and is looking perfect for sleigh rides! We’ve got times available Saturday the 31st and Sunday the 1st. We do schedule some weekdays. February 7th is filling fast but Sunday February 8th has availability as well. Give us a call!

Our Story

Winter Sleigh Rides- We have almost 2 miles of maintained trails here on the farm for a sleigh ride through the woods and across the field, lasting about an hour. Hot Chocolate is ready for you at the end of your ride. We schedule our last ride of the day at 4 p.m.

Spring, Summer & Fall Wagon rides- We can host your family for a wagon ride here on the farm, or come to your location! Just give a call with your thoughts, and we’ll try our best to make it happen!

Why do we require reservations? It takes time for us to get everybody ready to go! Call ‘em in, throw a bit of hay at them, choose the team, harness them up, prep the vehicle (be it wagon or sleigh depending on the season), prep ourselves (change of coats, where did I put my heavy gloves, who’s got my hat with the fuzzy ear flaps?). It’s a process!!
