Pleasant Valley Stock Farms- Speich's Farm

Small family farm northeast of Beresford,SD. We raise breeding beef, and hogs. We love to promote FF We own Simmental/Angus breeding heifers. We also own swine.

(some purebred and crossbred)

We are a small family farm North of Beresford, South Dakota. We show our heifers at Canton and at the state level in both FFA and 4-H. We support Helping Hands 4-H club and Beresford FFA. We are proud of everyone who is in the club/chapter with all of their accomplishments. We want to promote agriculture in a positive way instead of a negative way. Because we hold the future in our hands.

It’s been a while since we last updated.

We lost our beloved Bailey on October 11th in a farming accident. She passed away doing one thing she loved to do and that was being a farm dog. We miss her terribly. Our family is still in shock of the amount of love and shares and the people who looked for her. Thank you.

Our new pup is enjoying farm life! Well, more so house life! 🤣😅 she doesn’t venture out like Bailey did to go chase the cows. She’s more of a mommas girl. She’s carols shadow.

Hello All!!
Thought I would give you a update on our farm!! It’s been a while!
I celebrated my 1st birthday on 1/4. I was super spoiled.
I LOVE nap time!! As soon as my family is done eating, I make a mad dash to the bed to take a nap with mom. But now with the mud, I like to go out and play.
Oh, we had a new born baby calf today. Dad won’t let me see it.
And guess what!!! I have finally been here a YEAR!! Yes, my humans have loved me for a year already!!! I will continue to protect my couch for many more years!

Harvest 2020 is officially done for us!!

It’s a very sad day today. The OC beef complex at the South Dakota State Fair burned down. It’s a total loss.

During Penny’s time in 4-H and open class, we showed in that building. Many fun memories in that building.

No animals where hurt and everyone was safe.

You guys haven’t seen me in a while! I have been super busy learning all the things I have to do on this farm!! I love all the land I have to roam around!! I love it here!

Today isn’t just a day off from work to have fun. Today is reserved for those who served our country and no longer with us. Today we remember Carols dad who was a veteran. Thank you Alex for your sacrifices you made for our country so we can be free.

Hey y’all!
As you can see, I really don’t do much. This week though, I “helped” Larry and Penny hitch up the trailer. That was fun! I have been here 6 weeks today! I have found out I really really love to play in water! And I enjoy bath time!
Oh, also, when my family moved an expecting momma cow to another yard I took a nap in the pick up! I wonder if they will let me do that instead of working??
