Polly is such a gorgeous creature😍
She likes cuddles and wears her white eyeliner, on only the bottom of one eye, every single day. She must get up early to do her makeup because no matter how early I feed, she already has it on.🤣
(Was a pecking injury from her friend in her very early days. Sometimes chicks peck at each other's eyes).
Polly gave me 39 beautiful eggs this breeding season. Her chicks have all came out healthy and thriving and most had her head full of "hair" at hatch.
Her appetite is currently insatiable. Emus get ravenous after breeding season because they really slow down on eating during.

5 out of 5 eggs hatched this week. 3 standards and 2 blondes! Once these babies are 2 weeks old and eating good with strong legs, they will be looking for green pastures. I have to send their egg membranes in for dna sexing tomorrow or Friday (they have to dry out first).
I have a few people on my waitlist for specific color/breed/pairings. Let me know if you want added.

Even though I've hatched sooo many eggs over the past 3 years, it is still an indescribable feeling when I am blessed to go check at just the right time and get to witness the miracle of one hatching! It's also so very hard for me not to help🤣 but I know that they have to fight to get out in order for their legs to be strong enough for survival.
And after this moment, yes, I cried. Because I prayed for this dream to one day become a reality and here I am in the middle of it❤️
