WARNING- Long post, but IMPORTANT ……

Today’s post actually has nothing to do with this picture (of a peach cobbler focaccia) but Facebook says my posts with pictures get the most views, and I really want this one to go viral.

I need your help please….. I am looking to take on a partner/buyer in my (very successful) home based bakery located in Berkeley Springs.

Please share this post with anyone you think might meet these parameters:

1. Should be ambitious, willing to work hard, love baking, and caring for others.

2. Be a person of high integrity and looking for a long term opportunity.

3. Lives in, VERY near, or willing to relocate to downtown Berkeley Springs.

Here’s the scenario:

In less than a year, I’ve built Pam’s Bakery Bliss into something that has an outstanding reputation (see my Google & Yelp reviews) repeat customers-some of whom travel from out of state, a social media presence and online ordering app, a website (not yet fully functional) and a growing demand for my ‘made from scratch’ baked goods.

That’s the good news. The bad news is that I’m 68 years old, and while my original plan was to do this for 12-18 months, I’d hate to walk away from the value I’ve built and the growing customer base that counts on me and LOVES my goodies…..

So, my idea is to bring on an apprentice/business partner/new owner who is interested in picking up where I leave off, and running this business for another 5 years or more.

I’m happy to stay on, train, share, mentor, etc. and we can decide together when the official hand-off would happen. Could be anywhere from 3-18 months in the future.

I’m not looking for an immediate down payment, so don’t let that discourage you if this sounds like something that would interest you.

You’d get the name (or change it, if you want) the recipes, supplies, equipment, customer list, phone number, website, logo, etc., plus my continued help and ongoing support. Just maintain a similar business model (high quality, made from scratch, no artificial ingredients).

If you wanted to open a store front, I even have a lead on a great location and am willing to help in any way I can to set you up for success. I want this business to live on beyond what I am able to do and I’m looking for a younger person with passion and energy that I can pass the baton to. Is that you, or someone you know?

💛✨ Member Spotlight: Berkeley Springs Pride ✨💛

At the Berkeley Springs–Morgan County Chamber of Commerce, we’re incredibly proud of the work being done by our nonprofit members. They bring heart, purpose, and action to our community every single day. One organization that continues to make a meaningful impact, both seen and unseen, is Berkeley Springs Pride.

Since 2020, this all-volunteer group has been quietly and consistently showing up for our community. From supporting local youth and families, to stepping in when needs arise, they are often among the first to ask, “how can we help?”

This year alone, Berkeley Springs Pride awarded five scholarships to graduating seniors, helping them take their next steps at Shepherd University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Marshall University, Blue Ridge CTC, and through continued trade education. Those are real opportunities, real futures, and real investments in the next generation right here in Morgan County. 💛

They’ve also continued their work meeting needs throughout the community, supporting programs, and responding when help is needed. It’s the kind of work that doesn’t always make headlines, but it makes a difference.

And then there’s the part many people see: their annual Pride Picnic in the Park, happening today! It might be a little damp, but it’s still a beautiful day to be out and about, and they’ll be there until 4:00 PM. Stop by, say hi, and spend some time with your neighbors. 💛

At the heart of it, Berkeley Springs Pride is about people. About showing up for one another. About creating a community where folks feel seen, supported, and like they belong.

All are welcome, whether you come to celebrate, to support, or just to connect. And the truth is, someone in your life, a child, a friend, a neighbor, may one day need a place where they feel accepted exactly as they are. When that moment comes, we hope they find a community like this one. A place where they know that being different isn’t something to hide, it’s something to be valued. 💛

Whether you attend the event, support their efforts, or simply appreciate the work being done, we’re proud to have them as part of our Chamber and part of our community.
