Eagle Distributors has been a family owned and operated business since 1992. As a young child growing up in the Highlands of Poland, Walter Podmanski, dreamed of one day coming to America and making a name for himself. At the age of 16 he and his parents migrated to the United States in hopes of having a better life. He started off as an intern at a bakery and worked long hours. As time passed he

learned and became more experienced. He began his second dream to have Polish style bread available in the United States. He opened his first Polish bakery distributing bread and pastries in Chicago. During this time he realized that there was a need for polish products in the United States. In the mid 80’s he began to import some products. As the times changed in Poland he created his first private label Cracovia in the 90’s. With a lot of hard work and determination to succeed, he and his wife Christine, created one of the largest polish importing and distributing companies in the United States. With over 1000 products in over 1500 stores nationwide, Walter can rest easy knowing his dreams are coming true!

It’s with a heavy heart that we have to say goodbye to one of our own, whom passed in a tragic accident. A gofundme was set up to help cover the expenses of sending Lukasz back home to Poland, and cover the funeral costs for his family during this devastating time. Lukasz’s entire family is in Poland, and we want to help reunite them.
