The Hoi Polloi Brewing Taproom and Beat Lounge is located in the Lorin District of South Berkeley, CA. Originally, we brewed on-site in a 3 barrel brewery. Recently, we moved our brewing operations to an off-site 7 barrel brewery in Oakland, CA. This allows us to produce a variety of beers that (we hope!) will be enjoyed by a wide audience. Some of you already know this but Friday 3/6/26 is Noelle’s last day at Hoi Polloi. It’s truly a sad loss for us but another employer gains truly an awesome person that treats people with respect, kindness, and love. Her last shift is this Friday 3/6/26 (3-730pm). Let’s send her off in the way that she deserves. There will be pop up, 80’s new wave music, beer/cider/wine, and happy tears !

We’re proud to serve as the neighborhood brewery and beat lounge and uplifted by the wonderful people (like you) that make the HP community what it is. Tonight we will stay open as late as 1AM (depending on business) if you’re looking for a place with chill NYE vibes. Here’s to 2026!

Hey y’all ! We’ll be open from 3-10pm on Xmas eve but will be closed on Xmas day. Stock up on cans for your gatherings. We’ll have West Coast IPA, Cold Pale Ale, Hazy IPA, Irish- Style Red Ale, Belgian-Style Single, and Belgian-Style Tripel available.
