Heart Beets Farm Heart Beets Farm is a four season certified Organic vegetable farm located in Berkley, Massachusetts Heart Beets Farm was started in 2014.

We rent land from Kettle Pond Farm, which is 35 acres of mixed-use farmland located between the Taunton River and Assonet Neck in Berkley, MA. Alex and Chris Houtzager own Kettle Pond Farm and it has been certified Organic since 2007. We currently grow vegetables on roughly 10 acres (manage 36 acres across three properties). Our main objective is to grow the most nutritious food possible using th

e best practices. The majority of our efforts are put towards scaling our vegetable production. We sell mainly through a growing CSA community, online Farm Stand and wholesale accounts.

🥕Carrot process for our late July planting of 14, 250’ beds:
Clear mulch covered the raised beds for about 3 weeks while the weeds died off. Removed mulch, seeded beds, irrigated (never enough) and have gone through wheel track cultivation twice. Time spent hand weeding has been cut drastically, so it’s a win from us!
