Heart Beets Farm Heart Beets Farm is a four season certified Organic vegetable farm located in Berkley, Massachusetts Heart Beets Farm was started in 2014.

We rent land from Kettle Pond Farm, which is 35 acres of mixed-use farmland located between the Taunton River and Assonet Neck in Berkley, MA. Alex and Chris Houtzager own Kettle Pond Farm and it has been certified Organic since 2007. We currently grow vegetables on roughly 10 acres (manage 36 acres across three properties). Our main objective is to grow the most nutritious food possible using th

e best practices. The majority of our efforts are put towards scaling our vegetable production. We sell mainly through a growing CSA community, online Farm Stand and wholesale accounts.

We hope members are enjoying the addition Mizuna to our Spring season. It grows happily and its mild flavor quickly proves less intimidating than you might have thought!
We’ve seeded carrot beds and are working to get potatoes in the ground. A cool spring means many crops are a little slow in the fields, but the heat coming on next week is sure to push them along.
