One good rain meant time in all the high tunnels. With transplanting and field work taking up most of the sunny days, the tunnels needed handweeding and crops needed twining. We’ve got loads of cucumbers, eggplant, tomatoes and peppers that all need trellising and supports. The future is looking tasty. 🥒🍅🍆🫑🌶️

Summer Veggie Box, Week 4
The Summer Squash and Zucchini are showing up! Lovely Basil bunches, more Rabe, Cabbage and just hitting the last of the Sweet Potatoes this week. Things were just starting to react to the drought, so the fields will definitely appreciate that nice, slow rainstorm. ⛈️

Summer Veggie Box, Week 3
Snap Peas and Garlic Scapes for all! Our Standard members additionally get Cucumbers and Kohlrabi. Premiums receive some lovely Rabe and fresh Garlic on top of everything else!

Check out the FB Group for great ideas on how to enjoy the veggies. Farmer Lauren will definitely be dipping the Kohlrabi in peanut butter and Steve recommends chopping up the Chard to add to waffle mix for an easy win.

Summer carrots getting some attention this week. We’ve got 5, 250ft beds of Yayas and Candy carrots that popped. The tractor did what it could against the weeds and now it’s time to take care of everything in row. 🥕🥕🥕

Summer Veggie Box, Week 2
This week we have some gorgeous lettuce heads making their way into all the shares. Snap peas and carrots for crunch and Farmer Steve will definitely be making a Ramen Noodle Salad with that Napa. The cucumbers are turning on in the tunnels and will also be available at the farm stand 🥒

Summer Veggie Box, Week 1
First week means we gotta see all three: Mini, Standard and Premium Shares kicking off the Summer. We’ve got a great team and heaps of food growing strong in the fields. Thanks to all who have joined up for the season.

Potatoes are sprouting and first round of carrots have popped. Nothing too fancy, just some local and nutritious kitchen staples. These are gonna be tasty soon. 🥕🥔
