This was such a hit yesterday the Boss says RUN IT AGAIN!!

🍔 Introducing the Blue Max Burger Special!

Hold on tight, this one’s going to be good!

A juicy 6 oz Angus beef patty topped with melted blue cheese, crispy bacon, and a maple syrup drizzle, all served on a fresh Fantini bulky roll.

All that for just $9.00 (plus tax)

And we’re adding a little something extra! Each Blue Max Burger comes with a side of Bumpas Sweet Heat Pickles!

We’re excited to welcome another local business to the Berlin General Store! Bumpas Sweet Heat Pickles is a father-and-son team right out of Marlborough, MA, and their pickles are an amazing addition to our sandwiches.

Not grabbing a sandwich? Stop by and pick up a jar to try for yourself. We think you’ll be hooked!

Great food, local businesses, and a little sweet heat. That’s what we love about keeping its local! Fantini Bakery Bumpa's Pickles

In the mood for a couple of c***r donuts? Stop by the Berlin General Store!

We’ve got fresh c***r donuts from our local friends at Berlin Orchards, and they’re pretty hard to resist!

And speaking of Berlin Orchards, if you’re looking for something to do this fall, head over and pick some apples. It’s a great local spot and a fun way to spend an afternoon.

Nothing better than supporting our neighbors right here in Berlin! 🍎

Good morning,

It has come to our attention that flag-style signs are not permitted in front of our property located at the Berlin General Store We have been told by the town that a complaint was filed regarding our “Hot Breakfast Sandwich” sign.

We never intended to disregard Town regulations or upset anyone and made every attempt at keeping the home town like feel and presentation.
Since reopening the Berlin General Store, our goal has been to revive a longtime local business and keep it viable in a competitive market dominated by chain convenience stores, gas stations.

The sign was temporary and an affordable way to let people know that we serve breakfast and lunch.
Since putting it out, many new customers have told us they were unaware of these offerings.
Even a few additional customers each day can make a meaningful difference in helping us cover operating costs, support our community and our local employees, at the same time keep our little store open.
We respect the Town of Berlin and want to comply with its regulations while continuing to serve the community. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss a compliant at any time along with an alternative and or other reasonable way to advertise our offerings.
Please feel free to drop in and see for yourself what we are about and always feel free to ask for me (Steve Prior) and we can sit with a cup of coffee and work on it out together.

Our goal is to support our community as much as we can by giving back to the town organizations and the towns people and to support the town activities.
I truly appreciate getting to know you all and your acceptance, and personal thank you’s and especially your support so far as we continue to look for ways to increase our door opening.
It’s been the most amazing experience getting to know you all and I look forward to doing what I can to continue to keep this store with all its history open as long as I can! It’s been a Berlin staple since 1813 and that’s pretty cool in itself and I take that’s very seriously.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support it does not go unnoticed or unappreciated.
The sign is down!

The New 2027 Berlin Community Calendars are here! As many long-time members of the community are aware, the Community Calendar is a must-have for the house or office. They’re just in time as the old ones expired September 30th and they’re available to purchase at the Berlin General Store for $7. each.

This year all proceeds will be going toward the U-Mass ALS Cellucci Fund in honor of Mike Sawyer and Russell Krackhardt. Both men were members of multi-generational Berlin families, and both will be terribly missed.
