Coral Fountain, Emerald Tassels, Love Lies Bleeding — our first year with hanging amaranth and all three are staying. It’s already a favorite for wedding work, and cut-and-come-again means it keeps giving all season. Drying test underway. Hopefully we can use it for our spring 2027 events 🥰

This garden-style bouquet was packed with our dahlias and trailing amaranthus, plus two dried flower crowns made from blooms we grew and dried ourselves. Every stem came from our fields for a beautiful beach vow renewal.

This is why you never see dahlias at the grocery store. They bruise if you look at them wrong, they hate a cold box, and they will not survive a week in a truck coming up from South America. The only way to get one is from somebody standing in a field within driving distance of you.

Two things I tell everybody who takes dahlias home. Cut them when they are already open, because unlike a tulip they will not keep opening once they are in the vase. And change the water every other day, not every week.

Do that and you get a good five or six days. Short, compared to a carnation that was chemically talked into lasting a month. I will take the five days.

Thank you for an amazing time at the Taylor House Museum peach festival. We had all kinds of yummy peach treats and listened to some great music. A special thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and got some flowers from us you guys sold us out in record time!
