Ok yall let's try this again!
First off, to our friends of the farm, we say THANK YOU!!! So many of you have continued to gather our product without question that it lead to an error on my part! We will figure out a way to show our appreciate throughout the summer!
2ndly, to the commentary and individuals who commented on my earlier post, i also say thank you! This was the first actual surplus that we have had in quite some time and I listed without researching the local market. Yes, I will be making adjustment! Hopefully yall can be friends of the farm at some point too!
3rdly, as a general statement to " that is more than in the store",... yes, yes it is. Again, I made the error earlier and yes that price was too high! 100% agree.
I can guarantee however that our price will never be lower than a store. Buying local does not come with cheaper tags and huge volume of products.
Groceries are buying at volumes that disperse trucking costs along with negating any actual growing costs. Not a thing wrong with that if that's what you want to buy...cheap food.
We pride ourselves in knowing that the produce we may potentially sell has been grown from the backyard. It's fresh, I know the inputs, and it's something we can be proud of! We have no desire to compete with grocery chains- we can't begin to try! At some point, we will eat it!
With all of this being said, we do have a stash of eggs from our own girls out back. Price adjusted to $2 a dozen. Arrangements can be made to pick up at the farm or in somerset!
To the friends of the farm, we say thanks! To people taking a look at our page, we hope to see you soon!
