It's BLUEBERRY SEASON! Our GM I'Talia is showing off her recent CSA delivery of delicious blueberries from Earth First Farms. Founded in 2006 and certified organic every year since, Earth First is an organic apple orchard and fruit and vegetable farm located just 100 mile away from Chicago in Berrien Center, MI. Earth First's recent newsletter recommends making blueberry pancakes, freezing a box for wintertime treats, adding them to oatmeal or cereal, juicing them, or "just casually knock back a pound at a time"! Besides blueberries, Earth First offers strawberries, peaches, pears, all things apples (cider, vinegar, even donuts!), jams, jellies, and much more. They also have a "UPick" program if you want to visit the farm! Dill Pickle is proud to be a pick-up point for Earth First and we invite you to join their CSA program, which has many more organic & local delights in store this summer and fall! UPICK is open at Earth First Farms Fridays - Sundays, 10am-6pm. 2938 Coloma Road - west of 196 at Exit 4. We are a long-time certified organic grower. Our new upick field is in its third year of transition and will soon be fully organic. Come on out and enjoy our wholesome berries!
