Froehlich's Finest Fruits & Vegetables Dean and Karen Froehlich have been farming since 1985. The history of our farm goes back five generations! The farm is now run by Dean and his wife Karen.

Froehlich's Finest Fruits & Vegetables grows a wide variety of produce and sells at farmers markets, and to wholesalers and fruit processing companies. It begins with Gustav Froehlich, then William Froehlich farming in 1932, with his son Robert and wife Connie beginning their own farm in 1957. Their son Dean purchased his first 62 acres at age 18 and began farming what is known today as Froehlich'

s Finest Fruits & Vegetables. Froehlich's Finest Fruits & Vegetables has gone from farming only apples, cherries, tomatoes, strawberries, and zucchini in large quantities, to more diversified farming, offering many more fruits and vegetables. About 90% of all the fruits and vegetables brought to market are produce on our own farm. We also grow a large selection of flowers and herbs. We grow Certified Naturally Grown produce and are also certified in GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) with our apples. In addition, we practice Integrated Pest Management on our farm, which is an approach to controlling disease and pests, while considering the importance of human health and environment.

Rain or shine. . . We WILL be at our farmers markets tomorrow in Wilmette and Winnetka! Our farm still needs harvesting so we put the time and labor into getting everything accomplished today for tomorrow. Hope to see you!😊

We will have Red Haven peaches, blueberries, our delicious everbearing strawberries, blackberries, plums, Athena cantaloupe. We will have our yummy sweet corn, onions, squash, green beans, tomatoes, heirlooms and so much more!

Don’t forget to pick up one of our beautiful bouquets of flowers!🌺

Trying to protect some of our fruit with this freeze. Irrigating low spots of Honeycrisp apples, and strawberries. Using a couple frost fans to try and stir up the air and keep some warmer temps down. Will know in a couple days any damage to fruit trees, etc.
