Farm launch week 27, we were off for Labor Day. Week 28 we visited a beautiful family farm in Brooksville. We were shown how the farm operates and how they've improved over the years.

Farm launch week 26. We had an amazing class this week. We got to learn about selling at Farmers Markets, direct sells, and selling with a CSA. Lots of great information.

Farm launch week 25. We learned about hay. We learned about storing and the nutrient content needed for the animals.

Farm Launch week 24. We joined the veggie track today so that we could learn about apples, peaches, blueberries and blackberries. Some of the things will be helpful with the elderberries.

Bought our first tractor ever.
It's a Ford 4110 LCG (low center of gravity) tractor.
She may not be new or very pretty, but she's paid for.

Farm launch week 22.
We learned how to process chickens and actually processed the chickens that were raised on the UK research farm, and we got to bring home the processed chickens.
On the way home, we stopped and looked at some sheds. Would be great to one day have a shed for equipment storage, a building to use as a commercial kitchen, and another building for customer sales/order pick ups.

Farm launch week 21. We learned about meat processing.

Look at how beautiful the queen of our farm is.
The grass is so thick at the farm right now. It is almost as tall as the Subaru.
We were blessed to see 9 deer coming home.

Farm launch week 20. We started our day checking the chickens that are on the farm in Lexington. Then we started learning about cattle. Learning about the process of selecting cattle, not only on looks but by breed characteristics.
