Happy June 1st! ☀️🌿
How have we got to half the year already?!
I'm still mentally somewhere between: ✨ "New year, new me" and 🫠 "Wasn't it Christmas about three weeks ago?"
Yet somehow we've survived January, battled through mud season, celebrated the arrival of spring, complained about being cold, complained about being hot, and spent a small fortune on fly spray.
June always feels like a little checkpoint.
Not to judge ourselves for what we haven't done. Not to panic about goals abandoned sometime around February.
Just a chance to pause and notice:
🌱 How far we've come. 🌱 What we've learned. 🌱 What we're proud of. 🌱 What we'd like more of in the months ahead.
Because growth isn't always dramatic.
Sometimes growth looks like: 🐴 One less argument with yourself. 🐴 One more boundary. 🐴 One difficult conversation. 🐴 One day you chose rest instead of guilt. 🐴 One moment you realised you're coping with something that once would have completely floored you.
So as we step into June, take a moment to acknowledge yourself.
You've made it through six months of life, weather, responsibilities, school runs, horse chores, family chaos, unexpected challenges, and whatever else 2026 has thrown your way.
That's worth recognising.
Now if someone could kindly explain how it's June already, and why Christmas decorations are probably only about 17 minutes away from appearing in the shops, that would be appreciated. 🤣🎄☀️
Happy June, everyone. Be gentle with yourselves. 💚🌿🐴
